Legal Décor Arts   Laura Long-Edwards owns a company called Legal Décor Arts.  The company has been in business since 1994.  Actually, her mother Linda Long started the business as a hobby.  Laura would help work the booth at conventions and other legal shows. 

They started the business because Linda was a paralegal and want to decorate her legal office.  They did not have much luck finding one location that carried items to decorate the legal office with. So they went to Dallas Market and the Dallas Jewelry Show to gather different products from different vendors and became a company to sell such items. 

Every year they would set up their booth at different legal conventions and at the State Bar Annual Meeting.  Laura tells people they have the fun booth.  It’s not your boring law library software or insurance, etc.  We have all the fun stuff for people to purchase for gifts and/or themselves. 

Linda passed away in March 2000 and Laura her daughter, has taken over the business completely.

Here are some of Laura’s achievements and accomplishments are as follows:

To promote Legal Décor Arts products, Laura donates many different products as door gifts at  fundraisers events, speaker gifts, legal conventions and legal organizations.

D.A.P.A. (Dallas Area Paralegal Association) Annual Luncheon Meeting – Legal Décor Arts donates door gifts and the gifts to the paralegals that win the scholarship award.  Linda was a member of this organization.

Laura also designs a lot of the jewelry with the Carnelian stone. 

One of Laura’s selling techniques is informing people about the powers of a legal stone called Carnelian.   If you don’t know the powers here is the information as follows:

June 2005 at the State Bar Annual Meeting in Dallas, Laura made the most sales ever for Legal Décor Arts. 

Jan. 2006, Laura has developed a website for mail order catalog online.  People from all over the world can purchase items for their legal office and/or gifts. 

Long time customers follow Laura everywhere to see what new products they have.  If there is something particular a customer is looking for Laura will find it. 

Laura is now carrying on a family legacy in memory of her mother Linda Long.   I know her mother is watching over her, like her guardian angle that she is and would be very proud of her daughter’s accomplishments and achievements.
